Care Guide

How to wash premium socks so they stay in rotation longer

Simple care habits that protect softness, stretch recovery, and color clarity without turning laundry into a project.

ARCDOVION socks care and rotation guide

Wash cool, avoid harsh heat, and rotate pairs. That simple rhythm protects both handfeel and structure.

Heat is the quiet enemy

High heat can fatigue elastic yarns and dull the handfeel. A cool or warm wash is usually enough for daily socks, especially when pairs are rotated instead of over-worn.

Keep pairs paired

Use a small laundry bag if you can. It reduces friction in the machine and makes it easier to keep favorite pairs together after drying.

  • Wash inside out for color clarity
  • Skip bleach and high dryer heat
  • Rotate pairs to reduce repeated stress

Drying matters as much as washing

Aggressive dryer heat can be harder on elastic yarns than the wash itself. Air drying or using a low-heat setting helps the opening, heel, and arch zones keep their shape longer.

Replace by feel, not calendar

A sock is ready to leave the core rotation when the heel feels thin, the opening no longer recovers, or the toe area loses its smooth feel. The calendar is less useful than the way the pair behaves on foot.

  • Heel feels thin
  • Opening loses recovery
  • Toe area feels rough or uneven
